In creating the ultimate success in life, the power of the mind cannot be neglected as it is the determining factor of the ultimate outcome, which is success or failure. The mind controls a person’s visions and imaginations, the mind also determines a person’s attitude, the mind controls more than mentioned above, in the mind is where a person’s desires and aspirations begin and exist and as one said once James Allen, ‘you will be as small as your controlling desire, as big as your dominant aspiration’. All of the above is a good reason to read on as I discuss the domain of thoughts/minds.
The greatest sages, gurus and teachers of all time, history and today have always related success or failure to the mind of a person! The mind has been defined as the part of the person that makes him aware of things; it also allows them to think and feel. In some quarters it has been called thoughts. Success, on the other hand, has been defined as having achieved something that you wanted or have been trying to do or obtain. There are many things that you would like to achieve or acquire, they are what you visualize as success. I am sure that you can achieve all of them if you learn the art of perfecting thoughts according to your desires and aspirations.
From history we learn that the power of the mind is not a new phenomenon following related personalities. One of the greatest teachers of all time, Guatarra Buddha used to say: “All that we are is the result of what we have thought.” What you are now is the result of what you have thought, whether you are happy about it or not. ! Thoughts since the dawn of civilized man have been linked to or are synonymous with success or its antonym, failure! The historical King Solomon, in his numerous proverbs and great words of wisdom, once declared: “As a man thinks, so is he!” One of the most successful book authors, Napoleon Hill, used to say that “all wealth is created by the human mind.” This shows that the power of the mind has existed since time immemorial and is backed by history. T. Harv Eker, who is one of the great successes in the world of book writing, said in one of his books; “It is essential that you acknowledge how your old ways of thinking have gotten you exactly where you are now!”
In creating success, thought is invincible. Thought is the link between our feelings and our actions. Without feelings, thoughts, and actions, nothing physical could ever manifest. We receive feelings, we think about them and finally we act on them. That is the basic procedure in the manifestation of our thoughts and feelings, which are entirely founded by the mind. The mechanism is simple; Thought has been referred to as an intention or the mind of a person and all the ideas it contains.
One’s actions can bring success or failure, whether in academics, business, or social life. Positive actions are generated from positive / good thoughts that in turn have their genetics of good / positive feelings that are: Joy, Emotion, Gratitude, Happiness, Satisfaction.
And all the other things that make you feel good and together with nature and the universe.
Visualization and Imagination
The above formula, as a chemical formula, is facilitated by enhancers called catalysts; A catalyst is a substance that makes a chemical reaction happen faster without changing itself. In our case, for thoughts to turn into action, an important catalyst must be introduced and that is visualization/imagination. Visualization is the noun form of the word visualize, which means to form a mental image of something or someone in your mind, another noun -visual, meaning the act of seeing or seeing. ‘Image’ in this context refers to the mental images of something or someone formed in your mind.
Albert Einstein, the great physicist who introduced the theory of relativity, is quoted as saying; “Imagination is everything, it is the preview of the next attractions of life” The mental images provoked by visualization and imagination provoke dreams that, when put on paper, become goals, provide a thirst that must be satiated with the appropriate action, therefore, the power of visualization allows to build goals and also to set in motion the necessary mechanisms to generate actions that ultimately lead to the achievement of the desired goals. The achievement of these goals or desired result is what we call success!
I’m sure that short description demystifies visualization and imagination into small understandable and usable steps, imagination and visualization is a bridge that connects you to success. I can tell you with certainty that if you have been there mentally, you will be there in person! Let your dreams take you there, see yourself owning that car, business, MBA, house, family and so many other things you wish for in life.
A thought is an intention, and intentions lead to imagination, which then triggers actions in the direction of goal achievement guided by the charge your feelings have generated, so you can think of yourself as a locomotive on rails. of life, you can progress, regress or stagnate. Positive thoughts generate positive mental images which in turn generate positive goals, then positive actions and finally something great is accomplished, however negative thoughts are destructive as stated in Galatians 6:7-9. Think of yourself as an engine. For an engine to move, energy must be generated, to allow the generation of energy, gas or gasoline is used, in this case gasoline and gas constitute the feelings and thoughts that are required to generate energy, which in this case are the images minds that are driven by visualization and imagination, energy has already been built up so the locomotive will move forward or backward, all you need to do after energizing your engine is simply engage forward gear. Your forward/move speed will be entirely up to you, the distance you move will also be entirely up to you. That means it doesn’t hurt to think big and it doesn’t hurt to think small.
As we talk about the mind’s place in creating success, it’s important to note the constant mention of the words imagination and visualization. Someone said that someone without imagination does not have wings, the most beautiful and creative works of art, architecture, fashion, car designs, etc., were manifested from a powerful visualization and imagination that each and everyone possesses, it only depends on how far would you like to use these skills to match your wishes. You just need to realize how far the power of your mind can reach you, you will be surprised! You must have heard more than once that what the mind can conceive it can achieve, that’s true, just challenge your mind to conceive bigger things to achieve bigger things. Mike Dooley said; “Thoughts become things” Always remember that you are a manifestation of your thoughts, what you think is exactly what manifests. The big question is; What would you like to manifest in yourself? If you want great and extraordinary things to manifest, nothing is restricting you; everything is under your control.
