Xbox 360 errors are fixable

Are those Xbox 360 errors getting tiresome? Well, you’ll be surprised because you don’t necessarily have to throw away that Xbox, some of those bugs can be fixed, if you know how. Red Ring of Death and E74 errors are the most common and most correctable errors on Xbox 360.

These errors appear when you reboot the system. To explain it better, let’s use an example: you are playing your game and suddenly it freezes, there is no way to unfreeze it except by restarting Xbox, but when you restart, you get an error message.

Red Ring of Death Error – This is a GPU failure error, but it may not be fatal. In other words, the graphics processing unit is malfunctioning. Several things can cause this malfunction. This could be due to the thermal paste disintegrating and the chip becoming loose on the motherboard. Another reason it fails is because the GPU starts touching another chip on the motherboard causing the failure. Many people try the towel trick, but this should be avoided because it could cause the system to heat up and cause further damage to the chip or motherboard. Really, the best thing you can do is learn how to fix those Xbox 360 errors, or just go ahead and bite the bullet, and send it to Microsoft.

The other common error is the E74 Xbox 360 errors, which are somewhat easier to fix than the Red Ring of Death. There are only three things that can cause this error and they can be easily fixed. First, you could have a loose or poorly inserted A/V cable. Unplug it and clean the metal part with a soft dry cloth and replace it. This is the easiest way to fix the problem and hopefully fix it.

If not, this could mean that the ANA/HANA chip has come loose or the GPU has failed like in the Red Ring of Death. Your Xbox warranty does not cover this fault and your only option is to learn how to repair it yourself or send it to Microsoft and pay more than $100 for the repair.

Don’t worry, there are ways to fix these errors yourself and it costs much less. All you have to do is follow the repair steps and you will be well on your way to fixing those Xbox 360 errors.
