How to set up your own website and do it yourself – I have the perfect book for you!

Well, Microsoft has finally come up with a tool that makes building your own website pretty easy, in fact, so easy that anyone can do it. The program is called Expression Web and on the CD that comes with the program there is a good tutorial (it’s very good) and the program itself has all kinds of help functions. But sometimes it’s not so easy to read the help menu while setting up your website pages.

So it makes sense to get a good step by step guide to help you out. Now Microsoft thought of that and the program comes with a little flipchart that you can use until you master the program. Still, I like to have a book nearby with everything I need to know while I work. So I recommend you go buy:

“Microsoft Expression Web step by step” – Develop exactly the skills you need and learn at the pace you want” by Chris Leeds and Microsoft Corporation and Publishing. 2008.

Now this is a new book on the shelves as of this last month. It’s great and addresses all the changes to the program and also includes a CD ROM on the back with skill building practice files, so you can practice and play with your websites without changing them. And the entire book is backed up in a complete eBook on the CD ROM.

This book is great for beginners like me or advanced web designers like my web guru. Luckily, I was able to save 10% with my Barnes and Noble book discount card and it was on sale too! You might be lucky too, but either way it’s a great book and you can read it at your own pace and flip through the chapters to find what you need, when you need it. I highly recommend this book.
