The veils of the festival temple have been undone

“I don’t care how much you know, until I know how much you care!”

That is what the majority of the population of the United States has concluded, that they want to see a decent result for their nation. But it is final and President-elect Joe Biden will occupy the Oval Office beginning January 20, 2021.

People are eager to move on and start living a life, with better social outcomes this time. Hopefully, it will be achieved without interference, without widespread rudeness, blatant arrogance, outright guilt, and without shame without shame, and other heavy-handed family tactics. You definitely don’t need a mallet to crack a walnut.

The only image I have of this now-defunct era of brief dictatorship is the damage done to a nation that was once a great nation and to the spirit of the good people of the United States of America. My only prayer is that the damage is not permanent. Suddenly the world feels like a safer place for a while. He is in the hands of a more compassionate, better composed and empathetic individual who is reportedly worthy of the title and mantle of authority of his new position.

Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against Donald Trump, per se, however I do have a problem with self-indulgent leaders who are clearly racist. He projected rudeness, aggression, and selfish tones to the masses. He behaved like a rejected Hollywood extra, but above all, he has divided an entire population with his own ideology now identified as ‘Trumpism’. He will never forget it!

It’s no wonder white supremacism has grown more than 55% in the last four years alone. Without a doubt, his words have also successfully acted as fertilizer for white supremacist groups (see the US list here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:White_supremacist_groups_in_the_United_States), while he has been negligent with the worst pandemic. track record on the planet, therefore, ignoring those in need regardless of color or creed … Now you must be responsible.

Good and healthy leadership does not incite civil unrest, nor does it tolerate violence among a divided people in the name of self-preservation. If history has taught us anything, a dictator walks a fine line on the path of fascism.

The Constitution of the United States is the supreme law of the United States of America. It was ratified in 1788 and states:

We, the People of the United States, to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, ensure domestic tranquility, foresee the common defense, promote general wellnessand to assure us the Blessings of Freedom for us and for our Posterity, orders and establishes this Constitution for the United States of America.

In short, the country’s leadership has not recognized the needs of its people or, at least, has set a mature and decent example.

At the time of this writing, the US has nearly 308,000 people who have so far died from the Covid-19 pandemic. Each day brings about 190,000 new infections to the overall count. Currently, in the US alone, there are 16.9 million people who are infected with the virus. It is by far the worst affected nation on our planet, and no relief is on the horizon. They are better at rocket science than setting a good example to save their own people. And for all those deceived Christians, have you forgotten that “by their fruits you will know them”? How rotten is this fruit?

two In his arrogance, the wicked persecute the weak, who are trapped in the plans he manages.

3 He boasts of the desires of his heart; smite the greedy and vilify the LORD.

4 In his pride the wicked do not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no place for God.

5 His ways are always prosperous; your laws are rejected by him; he mocks all his enemies.

6 You say to yourself, “Nothing will ever shake me.” He swears: “No one will hurt me.”

7 His mouth is full of lies and threats; anguish and evil are under his tongue.

Psalm 10: 2-7

Leading evangelical figures are now warning against Trump. The veils of the festival temple have been inadvertently torn. Democracy has fallen, off the tightrope. Using a mallet to break a walnut could never alleviate what ails this country!

History will be the best judge of this period, and although Trumpism has been subverted, it has not yet been buried. Sorry, but I’ll have to leave it there as I’m thinking of playing golf …
