The Essential Elements of Unwavering Faith

Faith for a Christian is the very foundation of our profession. From the beginning, the Scriptures remind us that no person can please God without exercising faith. It is obvious that God is a spirit and we are human, therefore faith is needed to approach the realm of the supernatural. Faith thrives by action. This action is based on the promises of God. Have you been in a situation where humanly speaking there is no hope? However, because of your faith in God’s promises, there is a deep-seated assurance that things will work out. I have been there many times. It never ceases to amaze me how the Lord comes for us at the last seeming moment.

I say it all the time, your faith grows by the challenges you face. Forget big faith, if you get scared and worry about life’s challenges. This brings me to a recent event in a nearby town by one of the pastors under my coverage. Sometime in November 2011, as the pastor was telling me the story, a new Toyota sequoia was stolen from his elders. The incident occurred in the morning while the old man’s wife was warming up the car. She stepped back into her garage to grab something, when she came back out, in an instant the car was gone. They were frantic about this event, who wouldn’t be? The police were notified and the pastor was also informed. Undeterred by the incident, the pastor invited the couple over and clung to the scripture in Isaiah 41:21, which states, “Produce your cause, says the Lord, bring forth your reason, says the King of Jacob.”

He made a prayer in agreement with them and decreed that the car will be recovered within twenty-four hours. He did not waver in his faith, but he believed that the case was solved. He called me again the first week of the new year 2012 to inform me that the car was recovered and returned to his saints. According to him, the car was safely parked without any damage and did not appear to have been driven since it was stolen. It is a great miracle of protection and recovery. I have witnessed amazing miracles at home and especially abroad at crusades and conferences. Our faith is the catalyst in our walk with God. This article only briefly discusses the essentials of unwavering faith.

Seven Essential Elements of Unwavering Faith

1. Firmness

The grace to remain steadfast, calm, and unwavering when the winds, waves, and floods of life’s challenges press down on us. Constancy is the main root of his faith. “So, my beloved brethren, stand firm and constant, growing in the work of the Lord always, knowing that your labor in the Lord is not in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:58).

two. Clarity

Most people hit the church note because they don’t really have a vivid understanding of how powerful faith in Christ can be. In many cases, the Lord Jesus had to open his audience’s understanding to give them a clear picture of his message. Once they had it, they were more determined to follow it despite opposing elites. His faith will be well anchored with divine illumination.

3. empowerment

I see this as the spirit of boldness that is enriched by claiming the promises of God. It’s a bold position taken because God’s word says so, and we don’t pay attention to what others say. You are saying, I have resolved to believe in the word of God, that is where I am.

Four. Persuasion

It was difficult to lead the Apostle Paul away from his mission and calling. A very essential element of unwavering faith. The Apostle Paul declared: “For this reason I also suffered these things; but I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am sure that he is able to keep my deposit for that day” (2 Timothy 1:12, NIV). That’s it my friend, such faith produces a better type of personality.

5. Sure

You get this when the Lord allows various situations to come your way. You start to learn to trust him because you know he got you out before and surely he will again. It comes with divine comfort when your heart rests on it.

6. fearlessness

Override fear because faith and fear never exist together. Unwavering faith is a bitter adversary against fear. Do not fear, get up and fight the battle of faith. “Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and I will not fear; for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he too has become my salvation” (Isaiah 12:2, NIV)

7. Forecast

Faith is the eye to the future. You are balanced as your faith remains unshakable. You can see exit for solutions, through the window of faith. A powerful interpretation of this is repeated in Hebrews; here it is: “All these died according to faith, without having received the promises, but looking at them from afar, and believing them, and embracing them, and confessing that they were strangers and pilgrims on earth.” (Hebrews 11:13, NIV).

These will work together to produce unstoppable faith for the glory of Christ and the blessing of others. Keep faith.
