Activity for parents and babies from 3 to 6 months

Your baby can still enjoy the exercises from the first 3 months, but you can also add the following:

o To help stimulate your baby’s desire to learn, you should encourage him to touch various items of all shapes, materials, and textures. Give her items large, small (but not small enough to fit in her mouth), round, square, long, short, thick, or thin. Remember, don’t just use toys, use anything from kitchen utensils to fruits. You can also try filling a small plastic bottle with rice, couscous, or peas to make a rattle!

o Sit with your legs straight and lay your baby on your tummy legs. You should be able to touch the ground with your hands. Put a hand on her butt or back to give her some support. Put a toy on the floor in front of him and encourage him to play. This exercise is good to help develop coordination.

o Starting at 4-5 months, your baby will want to see the world from a different perspective, so he will try to sit up. If your baby raises his head slightly, this is an indicator that he wants to sit up. Offer your hands, and if the baby takes them, pull them up a little, but not all the way. With patience, eventually the baby should learn to get up with your support.

o Sit on the floor with your legs straight. Hold the baby around your waist and lift him carefully, then let him lightly touch your legs with his feet. Your legs should begin to bend and stretch in a jumping motion.
