If you plan to travel by public transportation from the Panama City airport, the Baytown Trolleybus operates throughout Panama City and covers most places. The route operates from 06:00 to 18:30 from Monday to Friday and the fare is only $1. The closest train station is the Bay Line Railroad in downtown Panama City, which is a short stretch between Florida, Abbeville, and Alabama, where you can also make connections to other parts of the US.
If you depart from the Panama City Airport, you will find a spacious atrium with six gates, plenty of seating and views of the airfield. Remember to allow enough time to get to the airport and check in for your flight, especially if you have rented a car and need to return it to the car rental company.
