Atlantic City isn’t exactly known for being a luxurious place. Until recently, in fact, it was known more as a laid-back seaside resort. Not only that, but economic decline and poor decisions by New Jersey officials had Atlantic City in decline for quite some time. These days, however, things are looking brighter.
There are many great attractions in Atlantic City, including Steel Pier and Ripley’s Believe It Or Not museum, among others. So Atlantic City isn’t just for gamers. Not only is it becoming recognized lately, but many hotels are being built or renovated specifically for the purpose of providing guests with a luxurious stay, regardless of their reason for visiting the city. The hope is that the new improvements will attract more people to visit the wonderful city.
Trump Taj Mahal:
Luxury travelers love the Trump Taj Mahal. It has a wonderful appearance. Of course, just the name “Trump” brings to mind images of wealth and luxury. However, the Taj has much more going for it than just a name. One of the great attractions is the wonderful spa. It features aromatherapy, seaweed wraps, deep tissue massages and much more. Restaurants, casino gaming, and luxury penthouses are also great reasons to visit the Trump Taj Mahal.
The Borgata Hotel:
As the newest hotel and casino added to Atlantic City, the Borgata has developed a reputation for also being one of the most luxurious. It was built in 2003 with the specific intention of rivaling the luxury and elegance of all Las Vegas casinos. It does not disappoint.
There are 2,000 rooms in the casino. There are also thirteen restaurants offering fine dining for all tastes. It also has bars, nightclubs and an events room. There are eleven different shops within the hotel and of course there is also a casino. Whether your pleasure is slots, poker or roulette, you can find it at the Borgata.
from Bally:
Then there’s Bally’s, a four-star hotel that sits right on the boardwalk. Although it has fewer rooms than the Borgata, 1,240 to be exact, it still has many wonderful things to offer. Among them is the VIP valet service, which makes every guest who uses it feel like a king or queen.
Of course, the Borgata also has a casino and restaurants. It has sixteen restaurants, in fact. It also has many poker rooms and hosts many of the major poker tournaments. So there are plenty of casino games and great food for everyone to enjoy.
On top of all that, Bally’s has an 18-hole golf course, an aerobics center, an indoor pool, and a hot tub. Bally’s spa is also wonderful.
So even though things in Atlantic City have been going downhill, they’re now looking up. New hotels and wonderful casinos, in addition to great tourist attractions, make it a great city to visit. Hopefully, the trend will continue and Atlantic City will soon be a bright and shining star attraction again.
